A free, two-day open studios art tour will be held Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. Ten artists around the county will open their studios to visitors through the Common Thread Art Tour. This self-guided tour will take visitors to Branchville, Wantage, Frankford, Layton and Sandyston, where artists will share their creative process.

A suggested route to follow starts in Sandyston, with artist Ricky Boscarino of Luna Parc, who makes jewelry and pottery at his eclectic home studio at 22 DeGroat Rd.

Next, in Layton, visit Jeanie Eberhardt, and see her recycled art, at 111 Route 560.

In Branchville, Chris Aidala will be showing work in stained glass, fused glass and precious metal clay, at 32 Church Hill Rd.

Corine Barton, landscape art, at 7 Mill Rd.

Joyce Maurus-Sullivan, Lafayette Clayworks, at 22 Wantage Ave.

In Frankford, visit Claude Larson and see mixed media art quilts at 85 Hyatt Rd.

In Wantage: Wayne Card will be showing cement sculptures, birdhouses, twig arbors and more at 42 Card Rd., Beemerville.Debby D'Aries will show recycled art at her studio, 21 Card Rd., Beemerville.

Bruce Ringier will open his blacksmith studio at 346 Route 565.

In addition the Sussex County Fairgrounds will be holding an event on Saturday only, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Artists at Sussex County Farmer's Market at the Fairgrounds will offer food fresh from the farm, music and more. The fairgrounds is at 37 Plains Rd. in Augusta.
