Harry A. Talatinik died Thursday July 5, 2012 at his sister's residence in Franklin with his family by his side following a short illness. He was 92.

Son of Anton and Tatiana (Kozenko) Talatinik, was born in Franklin Jan. 1, 1920. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin.

Mr. Talatinik was an engineering electrical technician at Picatinny Arsenal for 30 years, retiring in the 1960s. He was a former member of the Norseman Ski Club in Vernon and had won many ski events at various national ski resorts. These events (NASTA Race) were in the area of speed for skiers over 70 years of age. He was a member of Walkill Golf Club in Franklin, Wharton Fishing Club and Minerals Resort and Spa. Mr. Talatinik enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and all outdoor activities.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Talatinik was predeceased by his stepfather, John Kotar; brothers, William and Paul Talatinik; half brother, Frederick Kotar and sister, Helen Griffin. He is survived by a sister, Vera Allen and her husband Edward of Franklin as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 10, at 11 a.m. at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main St., Franklin. Interment will follow in North Hardyston Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
