June 21
Nancy Fitzsimmons, 58, of Andover, was sentenced to five year’s probation, 335 days at KDCF with credit for time served, she must submit to random drug screens, obtain employment, if possible, and pay restitution.

She pled guilty on April 16 to five counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary, all crimes of the third degree.

She admitted that she aided a co-defendant who illegally entered several residences in Hampton and Stillwater Townships between July 7, 2010 and Aug. 17, 2010, taking property from each.

June 22
Thomas Russo, 23, of Sussex was sentenced to seven years New Jersey State Prison with a 36-month term of parole ineligibility.

He pled guilty on April 23 to distribution of controlled dangerous substance, a third degree crime.

He admitted to distributing ten bags of heroin to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force on November 30, 2011 in Wantage.

Jacklyn Barretto, 26, of Hamburg was sentenced to three years probation and 90 days SLAP.

She pled guilty on April 23 to possession of CDS, a third degree crime.

Barretto admitted that on Dec. 27, 2011, she was in possession of heroin during a motor vehicle stop.

Danielle Presher, 22, of Highland Lakes was sentenced to three years probation.

She pled guilty on May 14 to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third degree crime.

She was a passenger in a motor vehicle and after a lawful motor vehicle stop, was found to possess crack cocaine.

Corey Winkler, 22, of Sparta was sentenced to 4 years probation.

He pled guilty on April 23 to terroristic threats, a third degree crime, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, a third degree crime.

Winkler admitted that on Dec. 11, 2011, he entered a 7-11 in Sparta Township brandishing a knife and asking the clerk “Are you scared?”

Alexa Awad, 21, of Ogdensburg was sentenced to three years probation and 100 hours of community service.

She pled guilty on April 23, 2012, to possession of controlled dangerous substance, a third degree crime.

She admitted that on Dec. 27, 2011, she was in possession of heroin during a motor vehicle stop.

Michael G. Milazzo, 21, of Sussex, was sentenced to 18 months state prison with credit for 101 days already served. This sentence is consecutive to a violation of probation sentence of three years in New Jersey State Prison with credit for 247 days already served.

He pled guilty on May 7 to fourth degree Criminal Mischief, 4th degree

Criminal Trespass and 4th degree Resisting Arrest.

In January, Milazzo and a juvenile co-defendant broke into a home in Wantage damaging the front doors, refrigerator and contents of a bedroom. In February, when police tried to arrest Milazzo on an active warrant he failed to stop for police and fled into the woods on foot in order to avoid being arrested.

Francisco Torres, 20, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to three years New Jersey State Prison with credit for 113 days. He must also submit a DNA sample, pay $205 in fines and $709.80 in restitution.

He pled guilty on May 7 to 3rd degree resisting arrest.

When police responded to a residence for a possible overdose, they found Torres there swinging a bat, yelling they would need five guys to take him down. He tried to scratch one of the officer’s eyes causing injury to the officer’s eye and face and he struck two other officers while resisting.

Danielle Vitiello, 21, of Andover was indicted with throwing bodily fluids, a fourth degree crime. The case was investigated by Sheriff’s Officer William Lunger of the Sussex County Sheriff’s Department.

A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial.

Angel Robles, age 20, of Sparta was indicted with terroristic threats, a third degree crime. The case was investigated by Patrolman Craig Graverholz of the Sparta Police Department.

June 25
David Bryan, 31, of Vernon pled guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for Oct. 22.
