FRANKLIN — Mayor Paul Crowley had been planning to honor a Main Street resident who put himself in harm's way to help save a neighbor from a dog attack and on Tuesday, July 10, he was able to do it.

Paul Lasky intervened to prevent further harm to his neighbor Elizabeth Babchak and her dog, Rayden, on May 14. Lasky stepped in to save Babchak and Rayden who were being attacked by a neighbor's two pitbull terriers. They were injured but say it would have been much worse had Lasky not helped them. Babchak wrote Mayor Crowley asking that her hero be recognized for his efforts.
