New ice cream shop
HARDYSTON — Rosie's Ice Cream will celebrate its grand opening Saturday, July 14 from 1 to 5 p.m. with free small soft serve cones, music and more at their new shop in the Hardyston Mercantile Mall on Route 94.
Children are invited to put handprints on the wall to help decorate the shop. Saxophone player Jimmy Mauro will be entertaining and a karaoke machine will be available, too, for visitors to show off their vocal skills.
Besides a visit from Hardyston's mayor, who will come by to help cut the ceremonial ribbon, the Hardyston Fire Department will be on hand. Children will be able to climb around on a fire truck they will be bringing along.
Rosie's is a family business venture, newly opened by Mary Fran Simmons, her father Ray, brother Ray and named for their mother, Rosie.
They sell Welch's Ice Cream exclusively.
