    Richard Howell Tintle, 69 years old, died after a short illness at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y., on Sunday, March 23, 2014. Born to Leonard and Mary Tintle in Decatur, Ala., he had lived in Butler, N.J., Vernon Twp. and Sussex, N.J., before moving to Wantage Twp., N.J., 25 years ago.

    Mr. Tintle worked as a heavy equipment operator for Public Service Electric & Gas in Oakland, N.J., for 35 years before retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Pochuck Valley Fire Department and the Vernon Senior Citizens and enjoyed music, partying and just chillin’.

    Mr. Tintle is the devoted father of Kristen Pacos of Middletown, N.Y., Kacey Riley of Bedford, Ind., Kurt Tintle of Indianapolis, Ind., Kendra Squier of Sussex, N.J., and Keith Tintle of Kissimmee, Fla. Cherished by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Joan Amos of Williamsburg, Va.. Boyfriend of Carol Gormley of Franklin, N.J. Step father of Tammy McTeague of Sussex, N.J. and Kristen Ortiz of Franklin, N.J.

    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, N.J., on Thursday, March 27, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Pochuck Valley Fire Department Service will be Thursday at 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, March 28, 2014 at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Clove Cemetery, Wantage Twp., NJ.
