    Shannon Foley, 22, of Newton, was sentenced to three years probation, 24 days credit for time served in jail, intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment and $1,205.00 in fines. She pled guilty on Oct. 15, 2012 to the third degree crime of conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. She admitted that during April 2012 in Newton she assisted another person in the packaging and labeling of heroin to be distributed within the Town of Newton. The matter was investigated by the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force.

    Kafur Campbell, 30, of Queens, New York, was sentenced to two years probation, 364 days in the county jail, $1,235.00 in fines and a six month loss of driver’s license. He pled guilty on September 11, 2012, to the third degree crimes of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and resisting arrest. He possessed a small amount of cocaine on August 14, 2010 at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Frankford and resisted with force the arrest of New Jersey State Trooper M. Braccioforte.

    Jeffrey Heinzelman, 28, of Hamburg, was sentenced to three years state prison, $1,205.00 in fines and a six month loss of driver’s license. He pled guilty on September 24, 2012 to the third degree crime of attempting to defraud a drug test. He admitted to attempting to give a false urine sample when tested by the Sussex County Probation Department on September 9, 2011 by using urine contained in a Visine bottle. The matter was investigated by Sussex County Sheriff’s Det. John Lindquist.

    Amy Van Dillen, 24, of Sparta, was sentenced to four years probation, 126 days credit for time served in jail, intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment, 50 hours of community service and $2,380.00 in fines. She admitted to possessing 14 bags of heroin in her purse on May 23, 2011 in Newton. The matter was investigated by the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force. She also admitted to conspiring to possess heroin on March 2, 2012 in Denville.

    Dec. 19
    Shaun Poyer, 34, of Branchville, pled guilty to the third degree crime of receiving stolen property. Sentencing is presently anticipated for February 22, 2013. He admitted to possessing a motorcycle that he knew to be stolen on September 23, 2012 in Branchville. The matter was investigated by New Jersey State Trooper Iglesias.

    David C. Benton, 27, of Hamburg, pled guilty to the third degree crimes of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and absconding from parole. Sentencing is presently anticipated for January 14, 2013. He admitted to possessing four bags of heroin on February 2, 2012 in Franklin. That matter was investigated by Franklin Det. Nevin Mattessich. He also admitted to having absconded from parole by leaving his approved residence and avoiding the supervision of his parole officer for approximately six weeks.
