Manuel Carrizo, 39, of Newton was indicted with attempted aggravated assault, a third degree crime, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a third degree crime, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, a third degree crime, and two counts of terroristic threats, third degree crimes. The case was investigated by Patrolman J. Indano of the Andover Township Police Department.
Amanda Erianne-Walters, 33, of Newton, was indicted with two counts of violating conditions of community supervision for life, a fourth degree crime, and Escape, a third degree crime. The case was investigated by Parole Officer Michael Marino of the New Jersey State Parole Board.
Matthew Davenport, 24, Franklin was indicted on one count of of sexual assault, a crime of the second degree and one count of sexual contact, a crime of the fourth degree)
Jan. 28
Mark Critchlaw, 22, of Branchville, pled guilty to third degree possession CDS. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 5.
In December of 2012 it was reported to police that Critchlaw was in possession of illegal narcotics. Upon investigation it was found he was in possession of Suboxone, a Schedule III controlled dangerous substance.
Christopher Faschan, 22, of Andover pled guilty to eluding, a crime of the third degree, and to the motor vehicle offense of failure to yield. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 5, 2013.
Jan. 30
Lambert Johanson, 52, of Vernon pled guilty to stalking, a fourth degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 12.
Jan. 31
Two juveniles pled guilty to third degree burglary and third degree theft. They were adjudicated juvenile delinquent by the court.
The juveniles, ages 15 and 16, of Vernon and Highland Lakes, were sentenced to 12 months probation on condition that they each complete 30 hours of community service, attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, have no contact with the victim or co-defendants, pay fines of $45 and $6400 restitution to the victim (joint and several).
In August several juveniles broke into a home in Vernon taking various items including jewelry, a laptop and game systems.
Feb. 1
Kenneth Melone, 24, of Highland Lakes was sentenced to five years drug court probation to run concurrent but not coterminous to a probationary sentence he is currently serving in Morris County.
He was ordered to serve 270 days in county jail and was given credit for 61 days served. He was further ordered to submit to random urine monitoring and, upon his release, obtain employment and enroll in and complete an inpatient program. He must pay total fines and penalties of $2,330, pay restitution in the amount of $6,950 and submit a DNA sample at his expense. His New Jersey driving privileges were suspended for 12 months.
He pled guilty on Nov. 7, 2012 to possession of heroin, burglary and eight counts of theft, all crimes of the third degree.
In pleading guilty, Melone admitted to illegally entering a residence in Sussex Borough on April 4, 2011 and taking property from the home. He further admitted to taking property from others on numerous occasions in Vernon, Wantage and Sussex between April 30, 2010 and April 4, 2011, to taking money from a person in Wantage on Feb. 20, 2011 and to being in possession of heroin in Lafayette on Oct. 22, 2011.
Jennifer M. Schroeder, 31, of Lake Hopatcong was sentenced to three years probation. She was ordered to perform 100 hours of community service, continue in the outpatient program she is currently enrolled in and maintain employment. She must pay total fines and penalties of $155, pay restitution in the amount of $40 and submit a DNA sample at her expense.
She pled guilty on Sept. 17, 2012 to attempted fraudulent use of a credit card, a crime of the third degree. In pleading guilty, Schroeder admitted to attempting to use a credit card belonging to another person at the CVS Pharmacy in Sparta on June 12, 2012.
Gabriel Salameh, 41, of Perth Amboy was sentenced to three years probation. He was ordered to perform 180 hours of community service, continue the rehabilitation program he is currently enrolled in and follow any after-care instructions from that facility. He must pay total fines and penalties of $280 and submit a DNA sample at his expense.
He pled guilty on Sept. 10, 2012 to Theft and forgery, both crimes of the third degree.
In pleading guilty, Salameh admitted to taking a blank prescription from a doctor's office in Newton and attempting to fill a prescription at the Rite-Aid in Hampton using a forged prescription on March 16, 2012.
