Feb. 25
Jennifer Stevens, 39, of Newton, pled guilty to shoplifting, a third degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 26.
She admitted to shoplifting from Lowe’s, returning the items without a receipt for a Lowe’s gift card and then selling the gift cards to local businesses for cash.
Feb. 27
Richard Dobrowolski, 34, of Vernon was indicted with violating Community Supervision for Life under Megan’s Law, a fourth degree crime, and absconding, a third degree crime. The case was investigated by Parole Officer Campaniolo of the New Jersey State Parole Board.
March 1
John M. Shaker, 25, of Hopatcong was sentenced to 18 months state prison to run concurrent but not coterminous to a term he is presently serving in Essex County. He was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $290, must pay total fines and penalties of $155 and submit a DNA sample at his expense.
He pled guilty on Jan. 7 to theft, a crime of the fourth degree.
In pleading guilty Shaker admitted to taking property from a home in Hopatcong on June 20, 2012 while he was doing landscape work at the residence.
March 4
Michael D. Torrance, 33, of Hamburg pled guilty to burglary, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and two counts of theft, all crimes of the third degree.
Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 9.
In pleading guilty, Torrance admitted to taking jewelry from a home in Vernon on Sept. 13, 2012, to illegally entering a home in Hamburg on Oct. 16, 2012 and taking jewelry from the residence, and to taking jewelry from a home in Fredon on Dec. 28, 2012. While being arrested for the Fredon incident he was found to be in possession of heroin.
March 5
Robert A. Woodruff, 23, of Highland Lakes, pled guilty to two counts of burglary, third degree crimes. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 19.
Woodruff admitted that during the summer of 2012 he committed several residential burglaries.
Crystal Green, 20, of Montague was sentenced to five years probation concurrent to each charge. She must undergo Dual Diagnosis mental health treatment, complete an patient program and adhere to all of the terms of Drug Court.
Green pled guilty on Feb. 14, 2012 to possession of heroin and altering a drug test while at a court appearance.
March 8
Jordan Maylath, 21, of Sparta, was sentenced to two years probation, 31 days jail credit, enter IOP, 100 hours community service and pay all fees and fines.
Mayleth pled guilty on Jan. 7 to the fourth degree crime of tampering with evidence.
John Brodhead IV, 24, of Lake Hopotcong was sentenced to one year extension of probation, must serve 180 days with credit for 52 days.
He pled guilty on April 11, 2011 to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, speeding and driving while intoxicated.
March 11
Michael Alverez, 34, of Sussex pled guilty to failure to register under Megan’s Law, a fourth degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for May 24.
Kenneth Reed, 54, of Blairstown pled guilty to violation of Community Supervision for Life under Megan’s Law, a fourth degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for May 24, 2013.
Fredrik B. Greaker, 68, of Hopatcong pled guilty to possession of weapon for unlawful purpose, a second degree crime, and certain persons not to possess a firearm after having been convicted of illegal use, possession or sale of a controlled dangerous substance, a second degree crime.
Sentencing is presently anticipated for May 24.
