Artists of the month awarded

JEFFERSON — The Jefferson Arts Committee and the Art Teachers of the Jefferson Township School System recently presented their awards to the student artists of the month for March.

The artists were presented a Certificate of Achievement and an Olympic style Fine Arts Medal by Jack Kelly of the Arts Committee and Denise Moranda Art Teacher at the Ellen T. Briggs School and the Arthur Stanlick School.

On June 14, Student Artists of the Month for the year will be given a Reception by the Arts Committee and the Art Teachers. Their parents, relatives, friends and neighbors are all invited to attend to view the art work accomplished by the students. The reception will be held in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building at 7:30 p.m.

The current art work on display at the library will be there until April 17. Everyone is invited to view the art work by the student artists.
