Trainings scheduled for 2014 United Way funding applications

    United Way of Northern New Jersey has scheduled mandatory training sessions throughout its five-county region for nonprofits seeking funding in 2014.

    United Way is opening its application process to all health and human service nonprofits serving residents who live or work in the northern New Jersey footprint of Morris, North Essex, Somerset, Sussex and Warren counties. Agencies must be a designated 501 c3 under IRS tax code.

    Agency representatives must attend one of the following training sessions in order to be considered an applicant for United Way funding:

    Warren County: May 29, 2 to 4 p.m., Warren County Community College, Room 201, 475 Route 57 West, Washington

    Sussex County: May 30, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., United Way of Northern New Jersey, 2 Spring Street, Suite 1, Newton

    Morris County: June 6, 9 to 11 a.m., St. Clare’s Hospital cafeteria meeting room, 400 W. Blackwell St., Dover
