Fitness and fun offered at White Lake Beach

HARDYSTON — The Sussex County YMCA will manage White Lake Beach Club in Collaboration with Sparta Township once again this summer. Memberships for individuals, couples and families are now available for purchase.

Full season memberships include access from June 22 through Sept. 2, and are available at a cost of $170 for individuals, $220 for couples and $295 for a family of four.

In addition to beach and lake access, memberships also include admission to “Family Night at the Beach” on July 20 and Aug. 17 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. These events include campfires, music, games and more.

New this summer, the Y will host a series of fitness programs at White Lake Beach, including Beach Front Boot Camp, Beach Front Yoga, and Zumba on the Beach. These programs will run in sessions from June 24 to July 28 and July 29 to Aug. 31. Membership is not required to participate, and registration is $50 per class per session to attend once a week, and $90 to attend twice a week.

White Lake Beach will also host special events open to the community, including a free open house on Saturday, June 22 from noon to 7 p.m. and a Summer Family Barbecue on Saturday, June 29 from 2 to 6 p.m. Admission to the barbecue is $15 per adult and $8 per child, and children under 5 are free. Both the open house and the family barbecue are open to the public.
