The Center for Prevention and Counseling will again partner with Unity Church of Sussex County to air a newly released documentary film, “The Anonymous People,” in Lafayette for public viewing. The initial screening of the film in September, was met with such great attendance that another screening of the film is planned.

All are invited to attend at 8 p.m. at Unity Church of Sussex County, located at 25 Mudcut Road.

“The Anonymous People," with its own Facebook page, is changing conversations about addiction from problems to solutions. The film has been airing throughout the country in different communities, venues and settings while offering a look at a passionate new public recovery movement, fueling a changing conversation aiming to transform public opinion, finally shifting problematic policy toward lasting recovery solutions.

CFPC purchased this film when it was released in September with public performance rights after hearing about its success on social media websites throughout the last year. Understanding this film was a very important as well as progressive resource available, as it encouraged discussions reducing stigmas associated with substance use disorders, CFPC officials felt very strongly that their agency should be instrumental in offering this to the Sussex County community.
