Dance Expression companies succeed at competition

SPARTA — The Dance Expression Dance Arts Performance Companies earned overall high scores, diamond, platinum and special awards at the Beyond the Stars Dance and Talent Competition on March 7-9.

Overall and High Score awards were given to "Grease" for Teen Production, and a Diamond Award and Overall High Score Rising Large Group/Line Production; "Listen" for Teen Advanced Small Group Contemporary and won a platinum award and choreography award to Tara Madsen; "Black and Red" in the rising star junior jazz small group category. The number won a platinum and entertainment award for Rising Start 12-and-younger groups.
