    April 3
    William McMickle, 55, of Glenwood, pleaded guilty to second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Sentencing is scheduled for June 6.

    In March 2013 the defendant engaged in sexual conduct which would impair or debauch the morals of a child, the child being less than 13 years old.

    April 4
    Donald Leatham, 23, was sentenced to four years of probation, 180 days in the county jail, 100 hours of community service at a trauma center, one year loss of driver’s license, $905 in fines and $970 in restitution.

    Leatham pleaded guilty on Dec. 18, 2013, to one count of third-degree assault by auto while driving intoxicated and to the third-degree crime of leaving the scene of an accident with an injured person.

    April 7
    William H. Degroat, 42, of Wantage, pleaded guilty to the fourth-degree crime of criminal mischief. Sentencing is scheduled for May 23.

    Degroat admitted to breaking the door of a post office in Wantage on Dec. 4, 2013 and causing approximately $1,900 in damage.

    Thomas Burnett, 25, of Hopatcong, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree theft.

    Sentencing is scheduled for May 23.

    In December of 2013 the defendant took several items from an Hopatcong home he had been living in including jewelry, which he pawned, cell phones and a garage door remote.

    Phillip Guttridge, 54, of Sparta, pleaded guilty to three counts of the fourth-degree crime of driving while suspended for a second or subsequent driving while intoxicated conviction.

    Sentencing is scheduled for May 16.

    Guttridge admitted that on Jan. 1, 2012, in Hopatcong, Feb. 13, 2012, in Hopatcong and Oct. 6, 2013, in Sparta, he drove while having previously been convicted of at least four driving while intoxicated offenses.

    Kenneth R. Slater, 34, of Franklin, pleaded guilty to the third-degree crime of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is scheduled for May 20.

    During the course of a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 31, Slater was a passenger and admitted to possessing heroin with the intent to distribute it. The matter was investigated by the Franklin Police Department.

    Joshua Lindfors, 25, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., pleaded guilty to three counts of conspiracy to commit shoplifting, a third-degree crime.

    Sentencing is scheduled for May 23.

    Lindfors admitted to driving to grocery stores in Sussex County, stealing items that were held for sale and selling them to an individual in Paterson, New Jersey.

    Jason Brunell, 34, of Franklin, pleaded guilty to the third-degree crime of accomplice liability for the possession of a controlled dangerous substance and to a motor vehicle ticket for failure to maintain lamps.

    Sentencing is scheduled for May 25.

    During the course of a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 31, Brunell admitted to transporting his two codefendants to Paterson in order to obtain drugs for personal consumption and to sell. The matter was investigated by Franklin Police Department.

    Eva Boswell, 60, of Cherryfield, Maine, formerly of Hardyston, pleaded guilty to third-degree theft.

    Sentencing is scheduled for May 16.

    During the period of 2009 and 2010 Boswell admitted to purchasing personal items for herself using Hardyston Township First Aid Squad money.

    Caleb W. Briggs, 21, of Oak Ridge, pleaded guilty to the third-degree crime of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is scheduled for May 16.

    Briggs admitted that on Oct. 5, 2013, he placed bags of heroin in the bathroom of Villa Capri Restaurant in Sparta in exchange for money after an employee contacted him to purchase the heroin. The matter was investigated by Sparta Police Detective Jeffrey McCarrick.
