How can LED bulbs last more than 20 years? Is that true?

Typical household usage is about 3 hours per day, so LEDs will probably last about 20 years due to their extreme long life with typical household usage. They actually may last longer but tend to depreciate in light output rather than burn out. Feel safe that LEDs will last a long time. I am sure you can find better things to do than replacing those often burned out standard light bulbs!

And don't forget, your energy costs will also go down with LEDs. They are a smart choice. Standard incandescent lamps have life ratings of only 1,000 to 2,000 hours whereby LEDs have life ratings of typically 25,000 to 50,000 hours. That's a long time!
