A special dedication service is planned for 11am June 7, 2014, at the First Presbyterian Church of Sparta to honor Real Daughter Eunice Wade Beardslee.

The dedication service will be hosted by the Chinkchewunska Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

All DAR members are descended from Revolutionary patriots. This was a distinct privilege of a Real Daughter. Not to be confused with the "daughter of a Revolutionary soldier or patriot (a term which of course encompasses thousands of women), a Real Daughter was distinguished because she was a DAR member as well as the actual daughter of a patriot.

Members of the Chinkchewunska Chapter NSDAR, Rev. Elias VanBunschooten Society NSCAR, and Col. John Rosenkrans Chapter NSSAR will all be present for the dedication in colonial costumes along with several officers from the New Jersey State Society DAR. Special guests will include Ed Fritsch, president of the Sparta Historical Society, Bob Caggiano from Bugles Across America, and Colleen Periott, from Colonial Musketeers Senior Ancient Fife and Drum Corp. Eunice Wade Beardslee is one of the only 19 Real Daughters in New Jersey.

All are welcome to attend the dedication and stay for refreshments.
