Francis J. 'Frank' Laner

    Francis J. “Frank” Laner, 85 died Tuesday July 1, 2014, at the Homestead Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Mr. Laner, son of the late John and Frances (Lynch) Laner was born in Franklin February 22, 1929. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin.

    Mr. Laner was a welder/fabricator for Lock Joint in Wharton. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception RC Church in Franklin and was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.

    He was predeceased by a nephew, Bruce Laner and is survived by his brother, John Laner and his wife, Jane, of Staunton, Va.; nephews and niece, J. Mike Laner & his wife, Lynn, of Wantage, Patricia of Oak Island, N.C., and Martin Laner and his wife, Barbara, of Sparta; great nieces and great nephews, John Martin, Michelle, Martin, Daniel, Courtney and Travis.

    A funeral service will be held Monday July 7, 2014, 11 a.m. at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
