A Franklin man faces theft charges after the Franklin Police Dept. received a theft complaint from Wal-Mart.

Thomas Brady, 37, of Sussex Borough, was charged three counts of theft.

According to police, Wal-Mart asset protection associates reported an individual entered the store and took several television sets without purchasing them on July 9. Police received another complaint about another theft of televisions on July 10.

Responding officers turned the incident reports and investigation to Det. Robert Vander Ploeg, which led to Brady's arrest on July 11, who was allegedly attempting to leave a store without buying it.

Police said Brady also had an active arrest warrant from West Milford.

Brady was sent to the Sussex County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
