Former Franklin councilman honored for 65 years as Master Mason

Former Franklin Borough Councilman William A. May recently celebrated his 65th anniverrsary as a master mason.

Kittatinny Masonic Lodge No. 16 Free and Accepted Masons in Branchville hosted the gold-token event.

Before the ceremony, the Masons held a dinner for the evenings Honorees. The District Deputy Grand Master, R.W. Thomas W. Murphy, was the official host of the event, honoring May’s 65 years of service to his brotherhood and the community as a Master Mason. Murphy presented May with his 65-year Masonic Gold Token Pin. May became a Master Mason on his 21st birthday and on July 27, he will celebrate his 86th birthday. His family and friends also participated in the evening’s recognition of this momentous occasion.
