Summer Reading is coming to a close with programs and prizes to be awarded at every branch.

Active reading will end on Aug. 2 and logs can be turned in for stickers and rafflel tickets through Aug. 29 and raffle winners will be chosen and announced after Labor Day weekend.

Each branch will also host a closing program the week of Aug. 11 – Bubble Trouble with Jeff Boyer. This one-man bubble extravaganza features bubble juggling, sculpting, fog-filled bubbles, children-filled bubbles and more. For exact dates, times and to register stop by a local branch or go to the Programs link at www.sussexcountylibrary.org.

Even as Summer Reading ends the libraries are gearing up for all ages. Lap Sit and Preschool story times will get underway at the Dennis, Louise Childs and Franklin branches. The American Girls Club now meets at two branches, the Minecraft Club at three branches and LEGO Clubs at four.

The Louise Childs branch will host a total immersion class for ages 8 through adult on Aug. 5. Employment & Training Services of Morris, Sussex and Warren will be at the Dorothy Henry branch (Aug. 7) and at Main Library (Aug. 19) to talk about the many free services available to job seekers including grant programs and tuition waivers for training. The Franklin Branch will have art therapy with local artist Alfonso Caliendo on Aug. 21.
