Evelyn Marie Rude

Evelyn Marie Rude(nee Ellis), 91 years old, died after a brief illness at Newton Medical Center, Newton, N.J., on Monday, July 28, 2014. Born to James and Gladys Ellis in Hamburg, N.J., she had resided in Hamburg most of her life before moving to Hardyston Twp., N.J., 8 years ago.

Evelyn worked for DuPont during WWII and then worked as a line worker for Ames Rubber in Hamburg, N.J., for many years retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Hamburg Presbyterian Church and was a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed doing crafts and always remembered her family and friends' birthdays.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Alan W. Rude, Sr. (1984) and was the devoted mother of Allen W. Rude, Jr. and his wife, Virginia, of Hamburg, N.J,, Nancy G. Sciascia and her husband, Rocco, of Oviedo, Fla.; William E. Rude and his wife, Deborah, of Hamburg, N.J.; and Candace A. Leatham and her husband, Robert, of Hamburg, N.J.; dear sister of Marian Pulcini and her husband, Ernest, of Hamburg, N.J.; cherished by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, N.J., on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
