Lafayette Federated Church concludes its summer concert series on Sunday, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m.

The concert will feature Kevin Bruchert and his worship band and is part of their "Your Reckless Love" ministry tour featuring songs from his debut album by the same name.

Lafayette is just one of the band's many stops on the tour that will take them to New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia as well as stopping home in New Jersey.

"The purpose of 'Your Reckless Love' is to challenge people to see God as God — holy, righteous and deity, but also as a compassionate, loving, person, Jesus," Kevin says. "... these songs pull no punches, connecting powerfully with a Church that yearns to stand strong on the truth of the freedom we have in Christ. These are songs of truth and hope."

Kevin grew up in Sussex County and attended Lafayette Federated Church as a child and teenager. As a teen he was active in the church's youth group and led a teen band called Sanctified that performed his original music at local coffee houses. As an adult, Kevin spent many years based in Nashville, Tennessee as a record label boss, touring musician, producer and songwriter for such award-winning and critically acclaimed artists as Jessa Anderson, The Ember Days, Royal Tailor and Abandon and was affiliated with The Anchor Fellowship there. He is currently the Worship Pastor of the Live Oak Christian Church of Bluffton, S.C. He is married to wife Erin and the father of three children. For more information about Kevin s ministry and to sample his music, go to kevinbruchert.com. The concert will take place in the church sanctuary and is free of charge, although a free will offering will be taken. Everyone is invited to attend.
