Gelok Foundation plans golf outing

The Jessica Gelok Foundation will sponsor its sixth annual golf outing on Thursday, Aug. 21, at Ballyowen Golf Course in Hamburg.

The JGF was formed by the family and friends of Jessica Gelok, who was killed by a motorist on her walk home from work on Route 23 in Newfoundland on Oct.19, 2008. She was 26 years old.

In Jessica's memory, all proceeds from the golf outing will go to the Passaic County C.A.S.A., which provides volunteers to locate safe, healthy and happy homes for abused and neglected local children otherwise lost in the court system. She had a passion for children and was attending college to pursue her dream of aiding underprivileged children.

C.A.S.A. director, Erica Fisher-Kaslander attended the golf outing last August to update the progress of the children now referred to as "Jess' Kids".

This year, JGF presented a check for $11,000 to CASA from the golf outing last August.

The cost per golfer is still $175, which includes breakfast, lunch, hor'dorves & a 2-hour open bar with steak and surf dinner. There will be an extensive prize table and sports memorabilia silent auction table.

Enrollment and donations can be made out to the: Jessica Gelok Foundation; c/o 1400 Willowbrook Blvd, Wayne NJ 07470
