Ogdensburg teachers finish library book project

    Ogdensburg Borough School teachers recently completed the library book project over the course of the summer.

    Upon the recommendation of Acting Superintendent/Principal Stephanie Bonaparte sorted through the school's entire collection of library books. Deirdre Cook, Gail Stagg, Chris Bieganousky each received $330 for identifying books to reshelf and books that are outdated. The teachers requested some new books for the upper grades, and suggested the board purchase a stepstool for children.

    Board Secretary Marilyn Cuykendall discussed gave an update on the renovated library.

    The walls are painted a warm blue. The carpet has been installed. Cuykendall said she is looking into samples for the chairs and love seats for the students. Cuykendall discussed color samples for the chairs, waiting on the board’s approval. The cost of the chairs and tables are $3,167.43. The book cases and the furniture are on their way.
