Gloria Dawe

Gloria Dawe, 78, passed away at Newton Medical Center on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014. Born in Montclair, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary O. (Morgan) Gehring. Gloria has been a resident of Franklin for the past five years and had previously resided for 30 years in Newfoundland, Canada.

For many years, Gloria was employed with the Sparta Twsp. Board of Education as a kitchen assistant in the Sparta schools. While she was living in Canada she was very active in the Senior Citizens Club of Canada, and with the Canadian Legion.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husbands, Cyril A. Morgan and Harold Dawe and a daughter Mary Jane Morgan, a son Dennis James Morgan and a sister Joyce L. Fargnoli. She is survived by her children, a daughter Lydia Salerno and her husband, Jeffrey, of Franklin, and a son Cyril Louis Morgan and his wife, Eileen, of Willis, Texas, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21 at the F. John Ramsey funeral Home. 1 Main St., Franklin. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Final disposition will be held privately.
