The Bohemian Art Gallery and Boutique has opened at 102 Route 15N in the Lafayette historic district.

Owned by Jen Ritchie of Newton, the boutique features eco-friendly, fair trade apparel and accessories. Among the many unique items in the boutique's collection are Bohemian style embroidered clothing, colorful socks made of recycled cotton, handbags, backpacks, jewelry and handbags made with upcycled materials including soda can tabs, tires, juice packs, plastic bags, and paper.

The gallery showcases the work of artist and artisan June Ponte of Lafayette. The artist creates unusual Gothic inspired painted stained glass windows and candle holders, hand poured candles, antique style jewelry made using vintage components, and traditional portraits in oils of historic and creative people. Ponte accepts portrait commissions, and the artist's Angelic Art service offers memorial paintings.

Business hours are Wednesday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be an opening reception on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit us online at www.bohemianartboutique.com or email info@bohemianartboutique.com.
