Kaitlyn Kocses, a 2014 Jefferson Township High School graduate, was the recipient of this year’s Jefferson Arts Committee’s $1,000 scholarship award presented to her at the Senior Awards Ceremony in June by Scholarship Committee chairperson Rose Jackameit.

Kocses is off to Rutgers University this September; and while her major is currently undecided, she plans to declare a major in Sound Engineering in her sophomore year. She also plans to audition for the choir at Rutgers and join their radio station.

In high school, Kocses was a leader of GIRLS and TADA, two groups run by Mrs. Davey, as well as a member of the JTHS Chamber Choir and REBEL.
