Crossroads Church hosted a Community Block Party on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Several carnival games with giveaways, popcorn and cotton candy, with face-painting fun for children, a bouncy-house, food tent, and a yard sale in support of the Compassion Ministry of the church made for a festive time for all. Music by Scarlet Thread, dramas and “Stomp” worship were provided by the Ground Zero Masters Commission team, along with a gospel message presented by James Sollers, all under the direction of Pastor Bryce Curtis.

The first of an annual community event, this gathering drew many from the surrounding area and beyond to enjoy a visit from our local fire truck, emergency vehicle, and police squad cars with demonstrations of special features, fascinating children and adults alike. A highlight was the drawing as folks received gifts of two children's bicycles and book sets, blu-ray, flat-screen tv, and two ShopRite gift cards, Body and Soul Salon haircut, and free passes to Laser One and to Skylands Ice Rink in Stockholm.
