Thank you for participating in Family Day

The Center for Prevention and Counseling's Coalitions have partnered together with their members to make Family Day in Sussex County a big success. Family Day, created by CASA of Columbia University in 2001 as a grassroots initiative to inform parents about all the benefits of frequent family dinners, has evolved and expanded to reflect how important it is to connect with your kids at various times throughout the day. Everyday activities such as driving your kids to soccer practice, tucking little ones into bed or having family dinners, offer caregivers their best opportunities to communicate with kids and to really listen to what’s on their minds

We wanted to thank all the restaurants that participated in this year’s Family Day campaign with The Center. This is the third year we have promoted this significant day and look forward to even more community awareness of Family Day next year. Family Day is always the last Monday in September and we hope you’ll continue to participate with our agency, knowing that you are an important part of reducing youth drug use in Sussex County.
