Jefferson swim team plans Zombie 5K

| 06 Oct 2014 | 12:25

The Jefferson Township High School swim team will partner with the Jefferson Township Recreation Department for a Post-Apocalyptic 5k walk/run with Obstacles teeming with Zombies infected with the living dead virus on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 10 a.m. rain or shine.

The purpose of the event, to begin at the Jefferson Township Gazebo at 1033 Weldon Road, Oak Ridge, will be to join the alliance to help save the human race. The date is sometime in the not too distant future, and you can be among the few human survivors in this post-apocalyptic time of earth’s history. Your mission is to get yourself and as many of your fellow humans through the course that is believed to have food, water, and cupcakes. Also, it’s to support the Jefferson Township High School swim team. The cost is $12 per person, non-refundable, which will include a 2nd annual JTHS swim team Zombie Run t-shirt, if registered by Oct. 18th. Same-day registrants will receive t-shirts while supplies last.

Questions can be directed to Coach April Sparling at asparling@jefftwp.org, Recreation Director Grace Rhinesmith at grhinesmith@jeffersontownship.net, or see any JTHS Swim Team member for more information. You can print a registration form at www.jeffersontownship.net, click on “Residents” tab to “Forms Center” to “Recreation Department”. Checks will be made payable to JTHS STPA and mailed to Julie Mastricola, 11 Little Doe Run, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438.
