Hardyston firefighters visit school

HARDYSTON — The Hardyston Township Volunteer Fire Dept. conducted it's annual Fire Prevention Week visit to the Hardyston Elementary School.
Grades K-2 and preschool were given a presentation on fire safety and a tour of Hardyston Ladder Truck 17. by Fire Marshal Bill Walsh and fireman Gerry Holzschuh. They were aided by fireman Frank Lacatena and assistant Pat Walsh.
The program was interrupted by the need to respond to a mutual aid call into Hamburg after which the truck returned to the school for the completion of the program.
