Special Olympics Expo planned in Randolph

RANDOLPH — The Area 3 Special Olympics fall Sports Expo will be held Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Kozak Sports Center, 6 Middlebury Road in Randolph.

Open to all, the Expo will showcase the athletic skills of more than 100 Special Olympics athletes from Morris, Sussex and Warren counties.

Among the skills on display: soccer, volleyball, bocce, and golf. The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
