Andi Kidd from Troop 897 in Franklin has received confirmation from the council on earning her Silver Award.

The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest honor a Cadette Girl Scout can receive. She coordinated a school supply drive to help Project Self-Sufficiency with their Back to School fair held in August.

Between supply drives held at Walmart, her own school and with local Girl Scout troops, Andi achieved the required 50 hours of service.

With the help from Costco Wholesale, the local Presbyterian Church and an amazing response from the public, Kidd was able to collect more than 600 items to help the children of Project Self-Sufficiency get a great start in school.
