High Point Regional High School recently held its first Google Apps for Education and Bring Your Own Device Summit on Monday, oct. 13.

High Point High School has been planning the implementation of the GAFE and BYOD policies for the past eight months. In February, the students received Google Apps accounts with Gmail.

The next month, education leaders from the school attended the GAFE Summit at Kean University.

At this point, the model New Jersey high schools to follow that had already implemented the GAFE and BYOD policies were West Morris Central High School and New Milford High School. In March, teachers were provided with Google Apps accounts. Eventually, the school purchased 148 Chromebooks with Title I & II funds for students to use during school hours.
