George Henry Faasse

    George Henry Faasse, 53 years old, died suddenly after a brief illness at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, N.J., on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014. Born to Herman Faasse, Sr. and Willemina in Paterson, N.J., he has been a lifelong resident of Ogdensburg, N.J.

    George had worked in maintenance at Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center for many years and most recently was a mechanic at 517 Trans and Auto in Ogdensburg, N.J. He was an active member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post # 132, Franklin, N.J., and the American Legion Riders of Post #132, Franklin, N.J.

    George was predeceased by several brothers and sisters, Herman Faasse, Jr. and his wife, Joyce, Wilma Jane Zuidema and her husband, Howard, Kenneth Roy Faasse and his wife, Irene, and James Edward Faasse. He was the husband of Janice Faasse of Franklin, N.J. Devoted father of Kristina Faasse and Kyle M. Faasse of Ogdensburg, N.J. Dear brother of Robert John Faasse, Jr. and his wife, Joyce, Carol Ann Matthews, David Peter Faasse and his wife, Betty, Lois M. Finnerty, Donald James Faasse and his wife, Edie, Dorothy Jean Colson and her husband, Robert, and John William Faasse and his wife, Tami. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

    Memorial service will be Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post No. 132, 57 Mitchell Ave., Franklin, N.J. Private cremation services by F.
