Fish and Chips Dinner to support veterans

NEWTON — Sussex County Community College Veterans Office will hold a Fish and Chips dinner on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 6-9 p.m at the American Legion in Andover.

This “Home for the Holidays” Fish and Chips dinner is sponsored by the SCCC Foundation. Proceeds from this event will go toward an emergency relief fund for SCCC student veterans.

Tastefully British will be preparing the meal for the evening. There will be an option to dine in or takeout your meal. Ticket prices are $15 per person and include a fish and chips dinner along with soft drinks. The SCCC student veteran’s club and boy scouts in the county will be on hand to assist in serving the meals. There also will be door prizes and a 50/50 held that evening.

Tickets can be purchased through the Bursar’s Office in the Administration Building on the SCCC campus.
