Wallkill Valley FBLA members attend conference

Five local officers of the Wallkill Valley Regional High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the New Jersey FBLA-PBL Fall Leadership Conference at the Pines Manor in Edison on Oct. 17.

Secretary Vincent Limon, Community Service Vice President Fiona Brown, Membership Vice President Scott Mueller, Public Relations Vice President Gina DiCristo, and Parliamentarian Melanie Kardos represented the chapter.

The officers attended various workshops that focused on developing leadership skills. These workshops included "Reverse-Engineering Your Story,” “Purple Ends Prematurity,” “Junior Achievement Titan Competition,” “High School to College,” and “So You Want to be an Officer.” Kyle Scheele, the keynote speaker, gave an inspirational presentation on “The Story of My Life.”

The officers had the opportunity to network with New Jersey FBLA members from various high schools.
