Straus News names new sales leaders

Jeanne Straus, president of Straus News, the publisher of this newspaper, announced that Frank Curcio has joined the company as its director of Sales and Marketing, effective Nov. 10, 2014. Curcio assumes the helm of the sales and marketing teams with more than 25 years’ media sales management experience. He worked as general sales manager and general manager of what were formerly Clear Channel of the Hudson Valley radio stations, including WRWD FM, STAR 93.3 and Lite FM.

At the same time, Straus News announced the promotion of Otilia Bertolotti to vice president/chief financial officer and Vincent Gardino to vice president/chief revenue officer for all of Straus News’ 14 weekly newspapers, magazine and websites throughout Orange County, N.Y., Sussex County and Passaic County, N.J., Pike County, Pa., and Manhattan.

Commenting on the hiring of Curcio, Vince Gardino said: “We’re fortunate to be able to bring Frank’s passion, experience and creativity on board. We are confident his past history of success in the Hudson Valley, combined with his extraordinary ability to build and motivate, will help us build the best media sales staff in the area.”
