Historical Society to show a Victorian Christmas

The Jefferson Township Historical Society will be an integral part of The Jefferson Arts Committee’s 9th annual Christmas in the Village event on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Costumed docents will offer tours at the holiday decorated Jefferson Township Museum located at 315 Dover-Milton Road, Oak Ridge. Each room of the Chamberlain home circa 1870 will be decorated around the holiday theme Victorian Christmas in the Valley. Miss Elizabeth’s Shoppe will be selling baked goods, antiques, and unique gifts and there will be hot mulled cider at the pot belly stove. The Museum will re-open on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. to continue their open house.

All related activities of the main event will take place in the historically designated Village of Milton in the Milton/Oak Ridge section of Jefferson Township. Venues include the Milton United Methodist Church, St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church, Jefferson Township Fire Company No. 1’s firehouse, the American Legion Post 423, and the Milton First Aid Squad.

Admission is free and parking is free at all venues.
