The Jefferson Township Community Concert Band will present a program of seasonal favorites on Saturday, Dec. 6, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Milton United Methodist Church, located at 316 Dover-Milton Road in Oak Ridge.

The concert entitled, “Frozen,” is being held in conjunction with the ninth annual production of “Christmas in the Village” sponsored by the Jefferson Arts Committee. A full day of activities includes concerts, vendors, and presentations centered in the historic area of Milton. Additional details for the day’s events can be found at www.jeffersonarts.org.

All events are free, but donations are welcomed.

The 45-member concert band is under the direction of Peter Tummillo, Jr., and is celebrating the 24th year of providing music to Jefferson Township at activities such as “Christmas in the Village," the Summer Gazebo Concert Series and Jefferson Day. The December program selections will include Leroy Anderson’s famous arrangements of “A Christmas Festival” and “Sleigh Ride” as originally written for the Boston Pops Orchestra, Symphonic Highlights from “Frozen”, a salute to Hanukkah, the beautiful and inspirational original work by Randall Standridge entitled “With Every Winter’s Breath”, “Merry Christmas Darling” by the Carpenters, and naturally, a Christmas march, “A Holiday Galop”.
