Lucy Ciufo

    Lucy Ciufo (Nee Tucciarone), 89, died on Friday at the Barn Hill Care Center in Newton, N.J. She was the daughter of the late Alessandro and Carmina Tucciarone. Born in Tufo, Italy, she came to the United States in 1939 and settled in Plainfield, N.J. and in 1994, became resident of Hamburg, N.J.

    Lucy managed the assembly line at Standard Plastics in South Plainfield for 25 years, retiring in 1987.

    Her husband, Anthony, predeceased her in 2001.

    She survived by her son, Joseph Ciufo, and his wife, Claudia, of Bridgewater, and a daughter, Judith Hric of Hamburg, and her two grandchildren, Joseph and Kristin and her five great-grandchildren, and her brother, Anthony Tucciarone and his wife, Roslyn.

    The family will receive friends at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main Street, Franklin, NJ on Tuesday Nov. 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 9 a.m. Mass of Christian burial service at St. Jude the Apostle Church, Hamburg, N.J. at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at North Hardyston Cemetery.
