Ogdensburg school holds winter concerts

The Ogdensburg Elementary School held twoWinter concerts.

The fourth- through eighth-grade classes performed on Dec. 3. Students from grades K-3 presented their concert on Dec. 4. The gymnasium was crowded with teachers, Board of Education members, parents, and the community members, who were anxiously awaiting the festivities.

Students from the chorus and the band performed. Peyton Kane, Anthony Walsh, Kelsey Pederson, John Mueller, and Kayla Baker sang solo during the fourth- through eighth-grade show.

The Kindergarten through third-grade show began with the first grade class singing “Colorful Mittens.” Each student wore green or red mittens and danced around the stage. The first-grade class presented a colorful array of Christmas cheer. They also sang “Channukah, O Chanukah” as they held hands while dancing around in a circle.

The second-grade class sang two melodies called, “The Snowman” and “Ding Dong.”

The third-grade class sang renditions of “Jingle Bells,” Silent Night”, “Joy to the World”, and “Winter Rose.” "Jingle Bells" was performed using melody bells.

The kindergarten class sang two favorite, “Up on the Housetop” and “Over the River and Through the Woods."
