Thousands of years ago, Hippocrates said, “Look well to the spine for the cause of disease.” Even then, the world's first doctor knew what chiropractors still teach today—a misalignment of spinal bones, or a subluxation, may cause interference to the spinal nerves.
This interference can cause pain, but is often not painful at all and can go undetected or ignored for many months or years. Because all organs and tissues depend upon the nervous system to function properly, a subluxation left uncorrected may lead to serious health problems.
Prevention is the key to good health, and your chiropractor can help promote optimum health by correcting and helping to prevent future spinal subluxations.
