County has flu vaccines available

HAMBURG — The Sussex County Dept. of Environmental and Public Health Services has the flu vaccines available for children and adults.

Pneumococcal and tetanus/pertussis vaccines also are available.

The office is open for walk-in flu vaccines, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2-4 p.m. for the months of January and February. It will be closed on Jan. 19, Feb. 12 and Feb. 16. at 201 Wheatsworth Road, First Floor in Hamburg.

Residents 65 years and older must bring their Medicare card, The cost for tetanus/pertussis vacccine is $35.

For those 65 and younger, the flu vaccine will cost $15, the pneumococcal vaccine will be $50 and tetanus/pertussis vaccine was $35.

Medicare, cash or check is accepted. Credit cards and Medicaid are not accepted.
