Hamburg police make 2nd Narcan rescue

    Hamburg police have rescued a second person using Narcan on Jan. 5 when officers Jeffrey Sokolowski and Devin gormley responded to a call of a possible heroin overdose.

    Upon arrival, the officers were notified by the 39-year-old victim's wife that he was overdosing on heroin. Police said the victim was unresponsive and showed signs of heroin overdose.

    Police said within several minutes, the male patient showed signs of improvement and was able to speak with the officers. He was transported to Newton Hostpial for treatment upon the arrival of St. Clare's paramedics and Hamburg EMS.
