Eleanore 'Lorraine' Blaskowski

Eleanore “Lorraine” Blaskowski(nee Richards), 88 years old, died at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clare’s Hospital, Dover, N.J., on Friday, January 9, 2015. Born to Oakley and Agnes Richards in Ogdensburg, N.J., she grew up in the area then moved to Lake Forest, Calif., and returned to Lake Hopatcong in 2006.

Lorraine worked as an administrative assistant at Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton, N.J., then worked for NCIS in El Toro, Calif., before retiring in 1990. She was an active member of the Lakeland Senior Citizens in Jefferson Twp., N.J., and enjoyed her senior outings to Mount Airy Lodge. She was a doting mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Lorraine was predeceased by a sister, Madelyn Rowe, 2 brothers, Thomas and Henry Richards and was the devoted mother of Cheryl Niedzwiecki of Hamburg, N.J., Pamela Garv of Lake Hopatcong, N.J., and Kim Krieger of Franklin, N.J. She is cherished by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, dear sister of Oakley Richards of Sparta, N.J. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Private cremation services by F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, N.J. Memorial service will be planned for a later date. Memorial gifts to the Jefferson Twp.
