The workshop was titled, "Effective Communication in the IEP Process".

Zamloot is an Education Advocate from Annandale, whom advocates for children in the entire state of New Jersey. She discussed tools and strategies that can be used at IEP meetings, along with communication strategies.

Zamloot is a professional education advocate for children and young adults (ages 3-21) with disabilities. She has been assisting New Jersey families in securing appropriate educational services since 1995. Those in attendance were from not only Hardyston, the surrounding districts in Sussex and Morris counties also attended. Parents and professionals were all eager to learn. Hardyston's Child Study team was present as well, and was in full support of this workshop as it helped parents have a better understanding of the IEP process. The administration has been in full support of the SEPAG and has great success working together.

The mission of the Hardyston Township Special Education Advisory Group is to increase community involvement while engaging with the school district with regards to the district's special education programs targeting critical issues and jointly establish solutions to ensure the best educational and emotional outcomes.
