Franklin police charge alleged Walmart

Franklin police have identified and arrested one of the suspects in an alleged robbery at Walmart earlier this month.

Police said Angela Concepcion was arrested at her residence on Oraton Street in Newark at 11 p.m. Wednesday.. Police also said Jennifer Caraballo also was arrested for hindering the apprehension of another. She as charged by the Newark Police Dept. and taken into custody. She also was found to have an outstanding criminal warrant out of Newark. She was turned over to the Newark Police Dept.

Concepcion was charged with theft and criminal attempt.

Police said police in Clark, Riverdale and possibly Milburn also are investigating incidents Concepcion is alleged to have been involved in.

Newark police also have alleged Concepcion to be associated with high-ranking members of the Latin Kings gang.

She was sent to the Sussex County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail and no 10 percent option.

Franklin police received a theft complaint from Franklin Walmart on Monday, Jan. 5.

At about 8:50 p.m. on Dec. 23, 2014, a male and female suspect selected numerous pieces of merchandise from the store, totaling approximately $3000 and appeared to make an attempt to remove the items from the store. However, they were unable to and left the store abruptly.

Then on Sunday, Jan. 4, at about 6 p.m. a female again gathered merchandise in the store and placed them in the cart, police said. The merchandise allegedly included small electronics such as Xbox One games and Nintendo WiiU games, others. Police said it appears more than $2,000 in merchandise was removed on this date. The female was in the store with individuals who appear to be the same individuals who made an attempt to remove items from the store on Dec. 23, according to police.

Police are still searching for the other two suspects also caught on store surveillance.
