    Richard H. Vanderhoof, 64, of Branchville was sentenced to 3 years of a suspended stsate prison term, subject to Megan's Law and parole supervision for life.

    The defendant received credit for time served, and must pay all fees and fines and have a mental health evaluation.

    Vanderhoof pleaded guilty on Sept. 29, 2014, to third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

    This matter was investigated by the Andover Police Dept. and the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.

    Gregory Moore, 29, of Sussex Borough was sentenced to 5 years in state prison, 46 days of jail credit for time served, $1,205 in court fines and a six-month loss of his driver's license.

    He pleaded guilty on Oct. 27, 2014, to the third-degree crime of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

    He admitted that on or about Aug. 28, 2013, through Dec. 10, 2013, he possessed crack cocaine with the intent to distribute it to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force at the Alpine Village Apartments in Sussex Borough.

    Dennis McNerney, 61, of Elizabeth was sentenced tot 2 years of non-custodial probation subject to Megan's Law.

    On June 25, 2014, McNerney pleaded guilty to three counts of Criminal Sexual Contact.

    This matter was investigated by the New Jersey State Police and the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office with assistance from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Department of Corrections.

    Clinton Moore, 28, of Sussex Borough was sentenced to 3 years of probation, 165 days of jail credit for time served, a mental health and substance abuse evaluation and treatment, a six-month loss of his driver's license and a $1,205 in court fines.

    He pleaded guilty on Oct. 20, 2014, to the third-degree crime of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

    He admitted to possessing crack cocaine with the intent to distribute it to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force on Aug. 28, 2013.

    Jan. 12
    Michael R. Scalici, 26, of Paterson pleaded guilty to the third-degree crime of distribution of a controlled dangerous sbustance.

    Sentencing is scheduled for March 13.

    He admitted to selling heroin to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force at the Quick Chek in Wantage Township on Oct. 2, 2014.

    John P. Pierro, 44, of Newton pleaded guilty to the third-degree crime of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is scheduled for March 13.

    He admitted to distributing heroin in Newton on Oct. 29, 2014, to an

    individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force.

    John Bensley, 20, of Milford, Pa., pleaded guilty to the fourth-degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and for failure to stop.

    Sentencing is scheduled for March 13.

    He admitted to possessing more than 50 grams of marijuana in his vehicle after being stopped by New Jersey State Trooper J. Smith for running a red light in Lafayette Township.

    Jesse Pajalich, 24, of Greentown, Pa., pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree transporting firearms into the state of New Jersey for unlawful sale/transfer.

    Sentencing is scheduled for March 13.

    Jason Helewa, 21, of Hawley, Pa., pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree transporting firearms into the state of New Jersey for unlawful sale/transfer.

    Sentencing is scheduled for March 13.

    Geniene Davis, 40, of Stanhope pleaded guilty to the third-degree crime of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is scheduled for March 13.

    She admitted to selling heroin to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force in Stanhope on June 26,2014.

    Crystal H. Galione, 25, of Franklin pleaded guilty to the third-degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is scheduled for March 13.

    She admitted to possessing heroin in Franklin on Sept. 29, 2014. The matter was investigated by Franklin Police Det. N. Mattessich.

    Christopher Holbett, 21, of Hawley, Pa., pleaded guilty to two counts of transporting firearms into the state of New Jersey for an unlawful sale/transfer.

    Sentencing is scheduled for March 13.
